The Huston School of Film & Digital Media was established in 2003 under the active patronage of the Huston family.
The School offers a pioneering suite of courses with a single starting point, the role of cultural creativity. They combine the academic and the vocational, theory and practice in professional courses that focus on “culture as central not residual”.
An integrated approach creates connections between our Master of Arts programmes:
MA in Public Advocacy and Activism
MA in Screenwriting
MA in Arts Policy and Practice
MA in Digital Media
MA in Film Studies
MA in Production and Direction
BA FILM STUDIES:
In September 2008, the Huston School commenced its first undergraduate degree programme: BA (Connect) with Film Studies. This offering is unique in Ireland, allowing students to pursue a traditional double-subject Bachelor of Arts degree with an extra specialisation in Film Studies.
Ph.D Studies:
The Huston offers two Doctoral programmes: the traditional, thesis-only Ph.D and a practice-based Ph.D. Applications can be made at any time of year; however, for admission in September it is recommended that you apply before 15 June.
Those interested in applying for any of our programmes, should check out our website www.filmschool.ie
